This is the official application form for International Youth Leadership: Africa, Cape Town 2007. The official dates for this coming conference are January 21st to the 26th, 2007.

Please read over the following information carefully before submitting your application. If you have any questions, simply send an email to applications_africa_2007@civicconcepts.org and you will be answered promptly.

The deadline for the next round of acceptances is Friday December 15th, 2006.  If we receive your completed application (including the short essays) by that date, you will receive email notification of your acceptance status by Monday, December 18th, 2006.  If accepted you will be provided with complete details regarding the reservation of your place at the conference and the procedure for student fee payment.

The short essays do not have to be submitted at the present time. However, we do need to receive them in order to continue with the evaluation of your application. Therefore, we recommend that you email them to us at applications_africa_2007@civicconcepts.org as soon as possible.


Participation Fees

The one-time student fee covers tuition, 5 nights accommodation in Cape Town, all conference-related meals, local transportation, field trips, and organized activities, a friendly airport greeting, an International Youth Leadership Africa diploma and a closing ceremonies gala evening followed by an end-of-conference private party.
Your only extra costs will be for your own personal souvenir shopping in Cape Town, your consumption of additional food and drink and any extra nights you would like to spend in Cape Town before or after the Conference.
Flights are not included in the Participation Fee.

Civic Concepts International is offering need based scholarships and delegation rates to Universities that are members of the IYLN.


Arriving in Cape Town:

All international students will be met by a friendly and helpful conference representative at Cape Town International Airport and escorted to the conference facility. If you are arriving by train or bus, you will also be met at the corresponding bus or train station in Cape Town. .

It is highly recommended that students budget to stay at least a couple of extra nights in Cape Town and South Africa before or after the conference. The accommodation is reasonably priced, there are many tours and safaris, and South Africa is full of sites that have to be experienced.
