Partner universities

Together with our Partner Universities we have created the International Youth Leadership Network. Our Partner Universities are those who value the importance of unique educational opportunities for young people to travel, learn about foreign perceptions and cultures, and broaden their horizons by challenging themselves in activities and discussions with other international students.

The purpose of the IYLN is to promote international conferences and projects, such as the International Youth Leadership Conference and International Youth Leadership Africa, creating a forum in which students can come together to discuss and promote such projects and organise funding for them.

In the framework of the International Youth Leadership Network, Civic Concepts International establishes partnerships with various colleges, institutes, universities and academies. As a rule, Partner Universities offer degrees and courses in political science, law, international relations, sociology and other related fields. This partnership is informal in its nature, but offers a wide range of benefits:

• A 10% discount off the conference fees per each student sponsored by the university
  
• The university logo will appear on 5000 conference posters, regularly sent to selected international universities, partners and businesses and individual students
• The university logo will appear on 200+ conference guidebooks to be seen by all conference participants, some professors, and our partners worldwide
• The university logo will be placed on the conference web-pages, viewed by over 200 unique visitors daily, which makes approximately 36 000 people in 6 months
• The University will be listed as a Partner University on the web-site of the International Youth Leadership Network, which unites 1800 program alumni from 114 countries, 50 of the best universities from 20 different countries

In return Partner Universities are intended to perform the following role:

• Incidentally sponsor students to attend the IYLC and other conferences
  
• Promote the IYLC and other conferences among the university professors and students by distributing the information through university web-site, e-mails, notice boards and other available means, and by putting up conference posters around the universities facilities
  
• Establish a contact person to liaison with CCI to help facilitate student arrangements with IYLN related projects
  

Due to the informal nature of the partnership with Universities, any University that has sponsored two or more students in a one-year period, upon mutual agreement, will become a Partner University. Upon acquiring the Partner status the University will be eligible for all the offered benefits in return to fulfilling the roles outlined.

Your involvement as a PartnerUniversity will directly benefit your students. As an accredited academic course, the IYLC supplements and broadens the existing knowledge, as well as equips the participants with new facts and details, essential for a profound understanding of the issues at hand. Those participants, who major in subjects other than political science or international relations, gain a substantial foundation for building up the understanding of these subjects and further expand their practices in the field.

On numerous occasions the IYLC has served participants as a turning point, positively affecting their academic and professional careers through introducing them to areas and issues that they wouldn't experience otherwise. The conference tends to expand the participants' skills: it helps many students to step out of their comfort zones and explore new people and opportunities, thus strengthening their confidence and making them comfortable with new experiences and environments.  

For many of the participants, the IYLC is the first opportunity to travel abroad and explore another country. The conference helps them to expand their horizons, experience the joy of travel and discover new cultures and places. Again, it's an opportunity for them to step out of their comfort zones and experience the world at large. 

During the conference, many of the participants establish life-long friendships, which in a longer perspective may affect the decision making processes in their countries, promote international peace and non-violence, and determine outcomes of certain problems and crises.

The diversity of the participants inevitably contributes to intercultural communication and better understanding of different cultures. Consequently, the conference reinforces the values of tolerance, equality and democracy among participants. 

Last but not least, the conference empowers its participants, and encourages them to work on making their communities safer and better places to live.
